The natural way to your dream hair, face, and body.
When choosing the right hair color for you, remember that your hair color and style should flatter your complexion and face shape. First we're going to have a look at hair color .
Alternatively, you can go straight to Choosing The Best Hairstyle For Your Face Shape.
To make it easy, we all fall into one of the four color 'seasons', depending on our individual hair, eye and skin color/tone. Once you have decided which season you are from the chart below, it's easy to see which hair colors flatter your natural coloring and which ones do not.

Examples:
The ethnicity examples above are generalisations to try to make it easier to choose your season. However I know that there are exceptions to these examples.
Warm undertones are golden or yellow. Cool/cold undertones are red or blue.
Now that you have decided which season you are, take a look below at the hair colors that suit your season and those that don't, so when choosing the right hair color for you, whether it be highlights or all-over color, you know the ones to choose and the ones to avoid.
Spring Summer Autumn Winter
Hair Color Do's
Dont's
Choosing The Right Hair Color - Spring:
If you have ginger hair you should avoid coloring your hair all-over blonde as it washes all the color out of your skin, making you look too pale. Golden blonde highlights are fine, but avoid cool shades of blonde.
Redheads ( light ginger) can also color their hair light or golden brown.
Redheads ( dark ginger/auburn) should stay away from blonde completely ( not even blonde highlights would work here). Instead, go for warm chocolate brown if you wish to color your hair.
If you have golden/honey blonde hair avoid the cool ash/platinum shades of blonde as these will wash you out, making you look far too pale.
For those of you with light brown hair, warm/golden highlights will flatter you.
Choosing The Right Hair Color - Summer:
Natural blondes usually look best with their natural hair color - blonde is the right hair color for you so no hair coloring is necessary here - lucky you !
Choosing The Right Hair Color - Autumn:
If you are Autumn coloring you should avoid all shades of blonde - without exception! Blonde hair on Autumn coloring does not work. It looks completely unnatural and is not flattering. I see a lot of 'Autumns' with blonde hair, often a honey shade of blonde, but the truth is that no shade of blonde works with this season. I'll say it again - blonde is not the right hair color for you! Why not try golden/copper highlights instead, leaving the overall effect dark. That way, keeping your hair dark flatters your skintone, while the highlights add interest/color, and at the same time adding warmth to your skintone.
Dark browns suit reds.
Mid browns suit warm golden/caramel/copper highlights.

Hair Extensions As Highlights
Choosing The Right Hair Color - Winter:
Fair skinned asians with jet-black hair look fantastic with red or blue highlights - see our Online Store for red and blue hair dyes by Manic Panic and Special Effects - and bleaching kits to prelighten your hair first.
'Winters' should avoid all shades of blonde - without exception! Blonde hair - whatever shade - does not flatter 'winter'. Even if you have that beautiful porcelain skin so typical of winter coloring, blonde is not the right hair color for you, believe me. Avoid any warm/golden shades .Remember, your coloring is cool/cold.
